"Millennial Sequence: Jailbreak!" by Tom Lucas (Rock Artist from New York(NY))

Tom Lucas' long-awaited 3rd album(packaging of this CD is available in English, French and German), "Millennial Sequence: Jailbreak!," finds the singer-songwriter returning to the scene after a too-long, 25-year hiatus. With a style that's been referred to as Psych / Folk Rock (but perhaps more closely approximated mid-'70's, NY-centric Punk / New Wave 'artistes', such as Patti Smith, Richard Hell or Lou Reed), Lucas reached legendary status with 2 albums that now command hefty collector's prices for their rarity and uniqueness. His new CD, "Millennial Sequence: Jailbreak!" - while more expansive than his earlier albums (3 songs clock in at over 6 minutes in length), bears the same trademark idiosyncratic – but completely accessible, piano-based pop-rock songs. CD-opener, "Out of Jail," is a well-crafted David Bowie-meets-Leonard Cohen ballad, both urbane and autumnal in its wistfulness, while "Paris of My Heart (Paris de mon Coeur)," with Lucas crooning in a wide-eyed David Byrne-like wonderment, is an impressive 8-minute-plus epic. Other highlights include the soulfully infectious "Nothing But Joy," with Lucas backed by what sounds like a rag-tag street chorus, and the ethereal "Birds of Prey," which takes the singer full-circle, invoking the above-mentioned Patti Smith in its quiet intensity. Twenty-five years in the making, Tom Lucas' new CD, "Millennial Sequence: Jailbreak!," is just in time to re-introduce the enigmatic artist to listeners who would rather forego formulaic pop for genuine and uncompromising - if rough-around-the-edges, artistry.

"Millennial Sequence: Jailbreak!" by Tom Lucas (Rock Artist from New York(NY))

Tom Lucas' long-awaited 3rd album, "Millennial Sequence: Jailbreak!," finds the singer-songwriter returning to the scene after a too-long, 25-year hiatus. "Wild Threads" by Wind Weaver (World Artist from Ontario, Canada)

The acoustic duo, Wind Weaver, and their album "Wild Threads" is an album that uses the musical talents of the Native American flute, acoustic guitar, and percussion to paint serene pictures in the mind with relaxing and contemplative sounds. In "Fluid Ooze" the melodic flute gently frolics around the steady, yet subdued sounds of a drum creating an atmosphere of serene tranquility. In "Aerial Wandering" a rhythmic and catchy acoustic guitar riff starts the song before an emotive flute comes in to tell a story that will enlighten your senses. "Summer Clouds" is a song in which a sympathetic flute and guitar combine to produce a well balanced song that will take you away to a warm summer day. The music within this album is sweet and tranquil as the Native American flute and acoustic guitar merge to create a feeling of placid relaxation. Whether you appreciate the sounds of these instruments or enjoy calming background music, "Wild Threads" is an album you will thoroughly enjoy.

"Threshold" by Sugar Blue (Rock Artist from New York City, New York(NY))

"Threshold" is the latest record from the highly acclaimed recording artist Sugar Blue. It is a record comprised of songs that fuse Rock, Funk, Jazz, and Blues all around Sugar's Grammy-winning harmonica playing and features a cast of highly professional musicians. The track, "Messin' with the kid," is a classic Blues tune with a little bit of exhilaration thrown in and features some gritty and soulful harmonica playing from Sugar. "Noel news" is a funky piece, played with a little bit of Creole influence, that celebrates what Christmas is like down in the crescent city of New Orleans. "Don't call me" is more of a tranquil jazz song in which Sugar lets his harmonica playing be a soulful backup to his vocals as he emotionally croons to the one he loves. This album is one that celebrates and mixes the roots of music that has helped shape the culture in America. Whether you want to dance or be musically inspired, this album will do it for you. And if you love Funky or Bluesy harmonica playing, well then "Threshold" might just be a must for your album collection.

"B2" by Experience Deluxe (Electronic Artist from Germany)

Experience Deluxe's latest CD is known as "B2." It is an album which consists of music that could best be described as electronic lounge music, as it is mostly vocal-less, electronic music aimed at creating a variety of moods for the listener. "Clean da House" is a swiftly paced, bass-led jam in which other instruments fade in and out, adding subtle complexity; it's a song that truly would be great to listen to while you clean your house. "Rum Around?" is an edgy track with a sci-fi sound and a driving rhythm. "Sunset Breeze" is a more tranquil number with a subdued beat and calming background embellishments. "B2" is a CD for those who appreciate music's ability to transport one's mind to places the body cannot go, or for those who like to have distinctive and relatively energetic lounge music for when they entertain or need background music. So let Experience Deluxe take you away with their illustrative album "B2."

"African Moments" by Kowa (World Artist from Germany)

This album is a re-mastered version of the 1996 release "African Moments" by Kowa, and includes 3 brand new tracks. The collection of songs, most in a relaxed style, is inspired by the culture and nature of sub-Saharan Africa. "Asumebele" starts off like any mellow, adult-contemporary song but soon evolves into something more as a chorus of male African singers joins the melody. "Africa" is an interesting and esoteric song which features African instruments used in a quasi-psychedelic manner. "Zulu Dance" is a mid-tempo number with interesting interplay between a steady beat and a flittering African-style flute. Throughout, though, intricate and accomplished guitar work and inspired vocals reveal the range and depths of this multi-talented group. This album is perfect for those who enjoy a good Easy Listening / World Music experience, particularly a melodic and reverent variant from Africa.

"I am no loger of this world" by Don Krim (Classical Artist from The United States)

Don Krim's classical operatic album is titled "I am no longer of this world." This is the countertenor's debut album, featuring Suzanne Bradbury on the piano, in which he sings Gustav Mahler's "Ruckert Lieder" and Peter Lieberson's "Rilke Songs." Krim's voice is breathtaking and while it may remind one of a mature choir-boy or a mezzo-soprano, it actually is neither and superior at the same time. "Atmen, du unsichtbares, Gedicht!" is a song in which we can hear how his voice can lie in such a high register, yet also resonate deeply, in this song that embodies both dark and bright themes simultaneously. In "Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen" one can really hear the beauty within Suzanna Bradbury's finesse upon the piano and it interplays with Don's soaring voice. This is an album that any fan of classical vocal composition would enjoy. If you already enjoy the likes of Lorraine Hunt Lieberson then "I am no longer of this world" is an album you will want to hear immediately.

"Tesla's Christmas" by Richard Souther (Holiday Artist from New York(NY))

Richard Souther's latest holiday album is called "Tesla's Christmas." It is, quite simply, an album which fuses modern electronic sounds with those of antiquated instruments to recreate Christmas carols. For "Go Tell It on the Mountain" a computerized sounding drum beat is combined with synthesizer and hand bells to create a beautiful yet different rendition of this well known holiday number. "Coventry Carol" is a carol that sounds like it was created by Radiohead, as it is a synthesized and somewhat trippy track, yet still retains the true feel of a holiday song. "O Tannenbaum" is beautifully replicated using ethereal background sounds with what sounds like pleasant wooden-xylophone playing. This album is perfect for those who appreciate both Christmas carols as well as when people combine and use new musical methods within well known songs. If you are already a fan of music such as that by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra then Richard Souther's "Tesla's Christmas" is undoubtedly an album for you.

"Red Light, Green Light, Go" by Brett Perkins (Pop Artist from Denmark)

"Red Light, Green Light, Go" by Brett Perkins is an inspirational, easy listening Pop album. Each track delivers real instrumental, non-synthesized music with accurately harmonizing vocals. Greatly inspired by the work of The Beatles, "Red Light, Green Light, Go" does an exceptional job of combining the melodies of 60's pop with modern Americana guitars. The track "Figure It Out" has a perky, upbeat tempo and the chorus is probably the catchiest one of the entire album. The instrumentation on the track "I Won't Give Up On Love" matches the artist voice perfectly. Staying in the tenor range with a female vocalist accompanying him, this song is intricate in lyrics and musicianship. The Beatles have inspired many a great artist since the launch of their career and "Red Light, Green Light, Go" by Brett Perkins is a shining example of that.

"World Domination" by Fatal Smile (Hard Rock Artist from Sweden)

Fatal Smile's latest album goes by the title of "World Domination." It is a continuation of this Swedish hard rocker's tradition of in-your-face music; and is mixed by Michael Wagener, who has worked with the likes of Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, and Mötley Crüe. In "No Tomorrow" Fatal Smile starts off slowly, building a gritty-momentum, before detonating into guitar-led mayhem. "S.o.b." is a song in which the tempo always stays high, with chunking guitars and chorus lyrics that are simply aimed at getting one pumped up. For "Eve of War" they supply more of a toe-tapping beat, still replete with the screeching guitars, but with more of a focus on methodically grooving alongside the intensity. "World Domination" is an album made fully in the Metal/Hard Rock mentality. If you are a fan of music like that of Metallica or Whitesnake, then this album, "World Domination" by Fatal Smile might be right up your alley.

"Opening" by krystalcube (Pop Artist from Japan)

Female Japanese pop singer krystalcube's debut CD, "Opening," is a very positive and energized pop album. The vocals are fluttery and calming, and completely satisfying. A mix of J-pop, 80's influences and R&B really makes this a fun album with more than a few surprises. She even includes a Japanese version of "unconditional Love," plus Instrumental versions of each track. If you could only get one track from this album, I suggest the title track, "Opening." If you're looking for some cute, poppy music from Japan, then kyrstalcube's CD "Opening" is a great place to start.

"Angelface" by Chapter ll feat. Natalie Chandra (Hard Rock Artist from Switzerland)

On "Angelface" the new CD from Chapter ll feat. Natalie Chandra, the rock comes fast and furious as blasts of roaring guitars punctuate swirls of synthesizer in an all-out attack of goth-influenced and hook-filled hard rock. Singer-songwriter Chandra brings a Pat Benatar-like vocal power to this 12-song collection, matching the intensity of her singing to larger-than-life anthems as well as moving power ballads. Highlights include CD-opener "Sulphur Anima," an insistent, synth-driven howl of rage; "Stop Looking Away," a Celtic-infused rocker with strains of bagpipe going head-to-head with a pile-driving heavy metal riff; the atmospheric ballad, "Scorned"; and the 8-minute opus, "Sekhmet's Summoning," a gothic anthem of melody and vision. With its nod to Northern European influenced Black Metal, Chapter ll feat. Natalie Chandra's "Angelface" CD is tailor-made for fans of Evanescence, Lacuna Coil and other theatrically-oriented bands who deliver epics of darkness and shadow like there's no tomorrow.

"In My Soul" by Antonia (Classical Artist from Austria)

"In My Soul" is the latest release from the gifted pianist, Antonia. This album is a beautifully sounding collection of Antonia's personal classical compositions. It features just her on the piano, and truly is a recording of the highest quality. In "Once in a Wintertime" she plays hypnotically as her left hand plays the lower register with somber tonality while the right hand caresses the keys with a melody that is smooth and emotive creating a melodic and interesting composition. On the song, "After All Spring" she gives us a pleasantly prancing and hopeful piano piece. Another song, "Joy" Antonia employs the entire piano well, and usually at once, in a complex and moving song. Whether you are a fan of Chopin or Mozart's piano compositions, or maybe an audiophile who enjoys the stunning and beautiful capabilities of a skilled pianist, then "In My Soul" by Antonia is an album for you.

"One-Trick Pony" by Texas Heat (Country Artist from Germany)

"One-Trick Pony" is the latest Honky-Tonk Country album released by Germany's own Texas Heat. It is an album filled with clean sounding, at times antiquated, Country songs that celebrate the life style and issues of the western man. "All Alone And Blue" is a slow moving western song that features wonderful steel guitar playing and a chorus featuring a wonderful harmony of Country-crooning. In "Drivin' Down The Road" we find a toe-tapping, Honky-Tonk tune, about the interesting life of being a trucker. Then for "Old Black Record" the band gets energetic as they deliver a rousing song that might make you want to get up and square dance. Overall, it's an album that makes good use of the old-fashioned Country-style guitar and drum playing, put together with just enough of a modern edge. If you are a fan of Johnny Cash or even the Drive-by Truckers then "One-Trick Pony" is an album that your ears need to meet.

"Salt of the Earth" by Mobetta Loretta (Folk Artist from Los Angeles, California(CA))

"Salt of the Earth," Mobetta Loretta's latest CD, would be best described as a modern folk album with a dash of southern rock. Yet it is much more than that because it is such an ambitious and creative work; it was recorded as a concept album with all the songs being inspired by the 1954 album also titled "Salt Of The Earth." In "Copper Pit Miner," Mobetta sings to us about being a copper miner in an upbeat, danceable folk-blues song that features great harmonica. "I Am the Salt of the Earth" is a song in which Mobetta opts to croon to us over a pleasant combination of acoustic guitar and string section. For "Local 809" she sings about antiquated union life over a more modern and toe-tapping blues beat. The songs on this album stand up on their own, as they are great contemporary expressions of a past generation; yet when one factors in that each song is part of an overall theme it really adds substance. So check out Mobetta Loretta's CD, "Salt of the Earth," if you want to hear great folksy blues stories of a day gone by.

"Yesterday" by Martin Folly (Reggae Artist from France)

Martin Folly and his CD single, "Yesterday (Reggae Version)" proves his creativity as an artist as he does his own Reggae spin on this classic Beatle's song. The song kicks in with solid guitar chords, crisp cowbell, a strong bass line, and organ riffs that bring together a bouncy and lively beat. Folly's voice is rootsy, rich, and deep which gives this song an interesting and melodic tonality of Jamaican style. As an added bonus, check out his other song, a remake of Thin Lizzy's "The Boys Are Back In Town." The tempo is slightly slower but Folly's Reggae beat and percussive drums really make the scene. There is also a terrific guitar solo swirling around syncopated rhythms giving a vibe of energy and enthusiasm. Fans of Reggae music will thoroughly appreciate these wonderful refreshing remakes.

"Far Away Land" by Panayotis Terzakis (World Artist from Greece)

Panayotis Terzakis' strong and powerful bass voice will impress you on the album "Far Away Land." This CD of traditional Greek/Folk music is taken to a new level with the well-trained bass vocals of Terzakis. He sings in the language of Greek and if you don't understand the language, you can still feel the poignant and emotive lyrics. He even harmonizes and doubles his vocals on many tracks such as "Ti Kako Kama O Kaimenos -album Version." You can hear the unique blend of Eastern and Western styles of music with " Perivolin Eixa Papia M'/arcadian Dance." Some tracks are A Cappella while others offer a timbre of an exotic array of instruments that all play well together, giving it the traditional Greek flavor. "American Peace" by Tapped (Rock Artist from Michigan(MI))

"American Peace," the 2009 album by Tapped is a mix of original rock and roll even the Fab Four would be proud of. Taking their influence from a range of artists such as The Kinks, Cheap Trick, and even Bill Haley and The Comets, this group creates an album with vibrant melodies and lively rhythms. Clean vocals garnish some straightforward but solid lyrics. Tracks like "Roadhouse Paradise" show off some serious bluesy musicianship. Others like "But I Need You" and the CD opener "She Said He's Dead" are driven powerhouses.
